It is learned from steel enterprises that the EU committee released an announcement on 29th June, they preliminary determined anti-dumping on Chinese original manufactured seamless stainless steel pipe, the involved enterprises will be charged 48%-71.5% temporary anti-dumping taxes. According to the insiders, the steel export to EU is almost forced out with this tax.
Early in Sep, 2010, the EU started investigation to the Chinese manufactured seamless stainless steel pipe. None of Chinese enterprise enjoyed Market Economy Treatment, all the involved enterprises suffer from 48%-71.5% temporary anti-dumping taxes.
For the constantly anti-dumping cases in the past few years, Chinese steel industry is quite familiar with the whole anti-dumping processes. For the result, although seamless stainless steel pipe is high added value product, the profit is fairly low, anti-dumping tax is not affordable.
